A wacky exhibition and three #book bargains

Book bargains first, so if you’re here for the exhibition pics only, just scroll on by.

Last week I parted ways – very amicably – with my publisher, and set about republishing the books on Amazon. The process is still ongoing and reviews for two of them haven’t transferred from the existing audiobook versions to all marketplaces yet, but I’m reliably informed by Author Central that this will happen soon, and in the meantime, all three are available at the bargain price of 99p or equivalent. See them on my Amazon author page HERE.

And here they are with their swanky new covers, big thanks to Debbie at the amazing Cover Collection. (I just love that owl!)

Offer ends 8th October!

On to the exhibition…

We had wall-to-wall rain here in N.E. Switzerland on Friday, so a friend and I set off for the Textile Museum in St Gallen. The current exhibition, “All You CanNOT Eat” runs until the end of this month, so if you’re local, there’s still time to go.

The slanty table

Basically, it’s food in many and varied inedible forms (so wastage involved) and some of the ideas were amazing. Exhibits ranged through knitted to porcelain to wax to… objects; a touch table where you sit with your hands under the table, feeling the ‘meal’ on a ledge below the tablecloth and wondering what the heck you’re fingering; to food matching clothes, and a video. And more…

The round table behind the central one is the touch table. Excuse blurry pics – I didn’t take many as the light wasn’t great and no flash allowed.

The next exhibition is “Circle of Water. Textiles in Flux” and is about swimwear and outdoor clothing, which reminded me of an old Billy Connolly sketch about knitted swimming trunks… watch this space!
