…and in with the “old”. Book covers, that is. I’m really glad to see the Lakeside Hotel books back in their original covers and looking gorgeous. More about this later; it’s the wrong time of year to be promoting a mainly summery series (though there’s a Christmas book too, just sayin’). Watch out for more Lakeside news and an exciting book bargain in the New Year!

As usual, I’ve been out and about in N.E. Switzerland. Here are a few pics taken in the last few weeks, one of our lovely lake and the other two in different corners of St Gallen.

Last week, I went to Zurich to catch up with fellow writers Alison Baillie and Louise Mangos. The Christmas tree was going up in the Bahnhof – it’s to be a Lindt tree again this year. We carried on down to the lake, where it was lovely weather for us (it takes a lot to get me out of my woolly hat at this time of year, but I thought about it that day…)

Book news: People have been asking when there’ll be a new book – the short answer is soonish, and the long one is that it’s an incredibly challenging time to be an indie writer. Think overcrowded markets, AI, book scams, advertising costs and generally just too much noise about the whole publishing process. I have another suspense novel ready to go, bar the cover image, and a new Melinda Huber series with two books also ready to go (also bar the covers) and the third half-finished. It’s daunting, but I’d like to think one or two of them will be out next year. Cross your fingers…
Meanwhile, there’s the backlist – like this one, set in and around my old home town, Glasgow:
Death Wish: “A fantastic read with brilliant characters.”

She wanted to safeguard her family.
But murder is hard to hide…
