Goodbye winter, ade (hopefully…) #writing

First blog post since November… for multiple reasons, but mainly due to an eye condition that makes me very prone to eyestrain, and screenwatching doesn’t help. But enough of that.

Winter brought us a minimum of snow ‘down’ here by Lake Constance, and I’m beginning to feel that spring might be approaching. Slowly.

The last photo above might not look it, but that was a bitterly cold day, with a Bise wind across the lake coming straight from Siberia. Below, the winter light – and the reflections – here by Rorschach Harbour in February were amazing.

In other news, after a two-year absence, the beavers are back in the woods, so watch out for some beaver dam pics sometime. And hooray, just this week I saw some crocuses were pushing through the remains of last autumn.

More randomly, the hotel along the road are adding a conservatory and their builders brought the cutest digger ever; it almost made up for the noise. And Vadian, mayor of St Gallen in the 1500s, was looking splendid last week in his carnival gear.

So that’s what’s been happening in everyday life in N.E. Switzerland.

Book news – I do have some, or rather, my alter ego Melinda Huber does, and lovely exciting book news it is too. (No, it’s not a new book.) I’ll be able to share it a little later this month, so watch out for that…

Until then, keep on reading!
