Street art first. Last week, fellow writers Alison Baillie, Louise Mangos and I went to the International Street Art Festival in Frauenfeld. Many of the exhibits from the first festival in 2023 are still there in town, and this year, a different set of artists was invited to contribute with paintings on walls and buildings, also ceramic artwork and a few textile, knitted or crocheted works. Again, some will stay in place, while a few will be dismantled and taken elsewhere.
The painting above was my favourite this time – a face you can look at for a long time and still wonder what’s going on in that head…
