One of the best things about self-publishing is, you get to choose your own cover image. Not that I’m unhappy about my publisher’s choice for my first two books; in fact, until recently, the cover of The Paradise Trees was my favourite.
As far as cover images go, self-publishers have two options – a ready-made cover, which can usually be tweaked slightly, or a custom-made one, which is more expensive. With both The Attic Room and Chosen Child, I was lucky enough to find amazing images in the brilliant Cover Collection’s store. I was blown away by both – they are perfect for the books.
But I really think my favourite now is this new one, Chosen Child, which you can see by clicking on A Lover of Books blog – thank you Sonya for the reveal post!
(And – while Chosen Child is on pre-order – from today, The Attic Room is only 99p, 99c, or a similar price in other currencies.)
Gorgeous cover– I love it!
