It’s been a busy few weeks here in N.E. Switzerland – not long now until the new book comes out!
It’s the start of the Christmas celebrations at the Lakeside Hotel, and Stacy and Rico are gearing up for the season of peace and goodwill. But – is Christmas really Christmas without Santa? Because Santa doesn’t come to Switzerland…
This is book four in the series, so there’s one more to come. But first things first – Christmas. And it doesn’t go quite without a hitch at Lakeside; in fact there are several hitches before the big day arrives.
Here’s the blurb:
Is Christmas really Christmas without Santa?
Christmas is approaching, the Lakeside Hotel is full of English-speaking guests, and Stacy and Rico can’t wait to show them a real Swiss Christmas. There’s a visit from the Samiclaus, a Guetzli-baking demonstration, a snowman competition – not to mention the trip to Davos.
In the middle of all the festivities, a guest turns up with a large-sized problem. Stacy is left running backwards and forwards, wondering if she’ll last the distance and wondering too where the romance in her life has gone. And then there’s the odd behaviour of Rico’s dad…
It doesn’t feel a lot like Christmas at Lakeside any more. Can Stacy get the magic back, before it’s too late for her and Rico?
Writing this book was great fun. I’ve had dozens of Swiss Christmases in my life now, all without Santa but all with the same Christmas magic. In a week’s time, you’ll be able to read all about the Lakeside Hotel version – who knows, maybe you’ll be tempted to come for your own Swiss Christmas one year? It’s different here, but Christmas is Christmas no matter where you are.
I’ll leave you with a wintry Swiss pic, taken from our balcony here, as well my apologies for being quite so festive when it’s still only September…
