And here it is – Baby Dear, my first psychological thriller with the amazing team at Bloodhound Books. I’d like to say a huge THANK YOU to the Bloodhound cover people, for creating exactly the right cover for my book. You can see straightaway there’s something a little ‘off’ about the picture – why is the cot so bare? Where are the cuddly toys and the pastel-coloured wall with the rabbit frieze that most parents would prepare for their expected arrival? There’s no apparent lack of money in the picture, but where is the love?
And where is the baby?
You can find out on May 16th, when the book will be published. We’re having a blog tour, more and equally huge THANK YOUs to all the lovely book bloggers who have taken time to read my book, and given it a place on their blogs – I really appreciate it! The dates are below and I’ll be tweeting and sharing the posts as they go out, so please have a look on Facebook and Twitter, and support the bloggers with a share or a retweet. It makes such a difference!
The last and biggest THANK YOU for today goes to the entire Bloodhound team for their support – I’m not going to start naming people because I’m sure there are many involved that I’m not aware off, and I don’t want to miss anyone out, but you know who you are, and – thank you. (There will be Swiss choc involved somewhere along the way.)
I’ll be sharing more about the book as we head towards the 18th, but for now I’ll leave you with a picture of Edinburgh. Baby Dear is set in Bridgehead, a fictional town somewhere between Glasgow and Edinburgh, and in my mind it looks a lot like this photo:
