It’s been a busy week here in my new flat by the woods. Our local carpenter delivered the new standing desk to replace my home-made version, so now I can work away in comfort without worrying about cartons shifting when I lean over too hard. So that’s one box ticked. There’s a lot of storage space here too (which I’m sure will fill up very soon…).
The big excitement, though, was The Attic Room being released on Wednesday. So far, so good here! There was plenty of interest – again, big thanks to everyone who has helped by sharing, retweeting and generally spreading the word. My book reached number three in one of its categories so I was delighted about that. I was also delighted to be invited on Georgia Rose Books on publication day. We had a lovely virtual dog-walk and a good chat, and if you enjoy mysterious and romantic adventure stories, have a look at Georgia’s author page!
The paperback version of The Attic Room is coming along too. The proof copy arrived, and while there are still a couple of things needing tweaked, I was really pleased with the overall effect – the cover is amazing! And at long last I was able to take a photo of all three books! (That’s an understatement; I took dozens of photos. It’s like having a new baby in the house.)
I have some blog visits scheduled next week too, to Bea Davenport, Jane Isaac and Greenacre Writers.
And to finish off with, as always, the woods. Windy and noisy woods today; it sounds like the background to a horror movie out there today…
Congratulations on your new baby, Linda! I really like that cover. Best of luck with The Attic Room.

All good wishes for your latest, Linda. I’ve already bagged myself a copy, although the reading list is long at the moment. The cover, by the way, is fabulous.

The cover came from the amazing The Cover Collection and was the most ‘fun’ part of the whole process – I’ve never had to decide about cracks on the wall etc before! It’s even better in real life, too, on the paperback. Thanks Julie!
